Lit device short story

It was 1996, I was in the Jungle with my friend Billy Bob searching for the new deadly species called uni-spider. This spider you could smell the dreaded scent that it releases and it was very obvious to see because it had a big one horn on the front of it that’s why it’s called the uni-spider. It was as big as a Rhino horn, but it was on a spider that was about the size of your pointer finger. We were sent by a group of scientist to get information about these animals. We were walking through wet green swamps up to our knees just to find this bug. Billy Bob was getting very annoyed with all of this especially after we got out of the swamp we had to go through more wet dirt and sticks that we trek through. While we were going through these Jungles there were big big trees that we good places to sleep at night. We would get sticks and leaves and build not a fort, but a shelter to stay in at night. The days kept going by and no results. Billy and I were getting we annoyed with what we had found…. NOTHING.
The next day when we were walking Billy said “ What was that noise? It better not be a animal I will be leaving this jungle right now.”  I told him that it was nothing just keep going. Then when we were walking we could smell the spider because of how bad the smell was.
“There it was!!” said Billy. We had found the uni-spider!! Then that noise Billy heard before was louder. Billy yelled “ BEHIND YOU, WATCH OUT!!”
I turned around and saw a jaguar in the tall and thick Walking palm tree which were sounding every spot that we could see. I thought to myself how the heck could that anima climb that high? So I sprinted so far I thought I was back in the US because I tried to get away from this Jaguar.
When Billy was running after me he “ Thank gosh you are okay. I would have been all alone in this beautiful, big and colorful jungle which would be horrible.” I said I was just upset that we hadn’t got to really inspect the uni-spider. Now we were about 2 miles from where we just were and know that far away from the one and only uni-spider. Then out of nowhere we smell that scent of the spider. We look around and see the spider! Billy and I started going bonkers running around screaming that we finally found this creature. We went up to it to put a tracker on it’s back because we wanted to know where it was and find new information about it. After we put the tracker on we went back to our fort/ house that we were living in.
Billy said “ That was a scary, but successful day.”
Then I replied “ That was the scariest moment in my life when the jaguar attacked me, but also was one of the best moment when we found the spider.”

We ate dinner and went to bed having one of the most intense and great day’s of our lives.
