My favorite book ever is called Travel Team, by Mike Lupica. It is my favorite book because I play basketball and this is a story about a kid who plays basketball and is smaller than everyone else. His name is Jason and he perseveres through many tryouts, practices, and games. This book inspires many basketball players who are small. Today there is a player named Isaiah Thomas who is very small and he is one of the best players in the game. That is like Jason’s story of perseverance and effort to get through a weakness. In the end, Jason has so many amazing accomplishments in basketball and was one of the best players in their school division. Jason showed his true heart and desire to become what he wanted to become. I love this story because of how Jason was going to work to get good at the game.
