My Favorite Book: "The Dead" by Charlie Higson
My favorite book is “The Dead” by Charlie Higson. The reason this book is a fantastic novel is because of the multiple genres within the apocalypse the kids in the book experience. The book features horror, because of the many tension building scenes with diseased and zombie like people. The book also displays comedy, because the world is mostly run by immature children, who are unaffected by the disease. The book also has great imagery and describes every scene and scenario flawlessly. Overall, this book has many different genres, and the characters can be easily relatable and sympathizable to many groups of people.
This sounds like such an awesome book! The way you described the horror and comedy the kids experience is cool to learn about. I've read something similar to this, except there's vampires involved, so it was cool to find something that's similar, yet different
